Jefferson City, Mo 79 miles

Jefferson City, Mo 79 miles
More riding in the Katy Trail. There were at least ten flats today
along the trail. It sprinkled a little bit, and it was very welcome to
cool us down. When we got into the the city, which is the the capital
of Missouri, a couple of us tried unsuccessfully to find the Race
across America time check in for the crazy cyclists who are biking
west to east hundreds of miles a day and get about 2 hrs of sleep a
night. They are insane, but we couldn't find it, so we came back to
the church. After dinner I cleaned my bike and then explored the city
a little and the beautiful capitol building. A little journaling,
blogging and cuddling and it's time for bed.

  1. Hi Kristen
Went to see grandma today and I tried to explain some of the things from your blogs. This trip is mind boggling for her and she just can't imagine what you are doing. (neither can I) She says she is sleping most of the day away, just so tired. She was happy and laughing though.
I'm questioning the mention of cuddling before bed. Interesting comment! Enjoy!
Big day tomorrow! Will be praying! Love ya!

  3. Hi Kristen! I hope you are avoiding the flats! I'm having a fabulous time in NY. All of the rest of the counselor's (except one or two) will be here tomorrow. I'm not sure that I'll be ready for our little group to grow so big. It shouldn't be that hard because we've had one or two trickeling in every day, but it is still an adjustment from our little family to our slightly larger one. Then the girls will arrive and our family will triple in size! It's hard to believe that I've only been here for 8 days! I've been talking with all of my old friends and making new ones. Every night at seven we play ultimate frisbee. Tonight we played three games! It's almost like I'm training for a 5k again! Well, I have to go comment on your next post, so I'll talk to you VERY soon :)
