Kind of a boring day, we were on US 40 the whole day, and it was
overcast and windy. Luckily we are in good company :) After we were
done riding for the day the weather cleared up! I spent a good portion
if the afternoon under a beautiful shade tree journaling, reading and
napping. It was wonderful. Beacause it is Wednesday night, we had our
affordable housing meeting/ presentation. Each week four of our team
give a little presentaion to the group about what they have reseached
in an area of the affordable housing crisis. For example, tonight we
discussed Education and Heath care and how they relate to the cause. I
look forward to these meetings a lot, and we have some great
discussions as well. We crossed into our fifth state and have entered
a new time zone. Three weeks ago today we met and started this thing
called Bike & Build, wow.

5/12!!! I love sitting under a tree and relaxing! I'm super jealous :) I have had sometime to relax today, but it was in the back of the lifeguarding class, so I couldn't relax TOO much! I have my cert. but we (the returners) are going to the pool tomorrow to help teach, so we thougt we'd better sit in on the class so we would know what to do! Then Miranda asked us to quick set up some dummies under the Arts and Crafts porch where we were then trapped by a thunderstorm. We missed the part of the class we wanted to see! It was nice to sit and talk with my friends and catch up on what they had been up to. Then we got to go back and organise stuff. We lifeguarded for the 550 yard swim and one girl had to be saved! Nothing serious, but the cold water made her muscles sieze and she grabbed the lane line halfway across. She wasn't in my zone, but it was kind of scary nevertheless. I had to help her get out when she reached the side. We had dinner and then loaded the vans for the trip to the pool tomorrow! I feel so special lol I get to do special jobs with the other returners :) Now we're watching glee and computering with SUPER AWESOME WI-FI that isn't super duper slow!!!! WOW! I'm very excited if you can't tell. Have a great ride!
